Welcome!

SCIHE is a nonprofit, faith-based, homeschool support group that is centralized in Columbus, Indiana. We offer educational and extracurricular classes, events, and field trips. Our goal is to provide encouragement, enriching activities, and social opportunities that will enhance the homeschool experience of our students and their families.

The members of this support group are dedicated Christians and educators of their children. SCIHE works alongside parents and community members to offer opportunities to enrich the homeschool experience.

We welcome your interest in home education and in our homeschool support group. Our motto is ‘Seeking Christ In Home Education.’ It is our goal to provide group educational activities for our children as well as support and encouragement for one another. It is our intention for all of our activities and publications to be presented consistently and forthrightly from a Christian perspective. We believe in the inerrancy of the Bible and believe that it is the foundation upon which all education should be based. (II Timothy 3:16, Colossians 2:8, Matthew 6:33)

We believe that the decision to home educate is a special privilege from the Lord. We are glad to provide information and encouragement to those who feel that the Lord is leading them in this direction.
